Good to Know

Relocation Questions, Answered

Why do people move to the Treasure Valley?

The Boise area is known for being welcoming, clean, safe, and family-friendly, with a real sense of community. The cost of living is reasonable compared to many other parts of the country, and outdoor recreation is never far away, from the Boise River Greenbelt to camping, boating, and skiing in the nearby mountains.

Which Treasure Valley city is right for me?

It depends on the lifestyle you want. Boise offers a vibrant downtown and historic North End homes near the foothills. Meridian sits in the heart of the valley, close to shopping, parks, and I-84. Eagle has a small-town historic downtown and trails near the foothills. Star, Kuna, and Middleton offer a slower, small-town pace, while Nampa and Caldwell are among the more affordable areas, with farmland, wine country, and room for acreage. Tracie can help you explore each one.

Can you help me buy a home if I’m moving from out of state?

Yes. Tracie starts with a call to refine your relocation preferences, explore potential areas, and answer your questions about moving to a new city or state. She then sends listings in your target areas, including hidden gems you may not have considered, and stays involved through the contract and closing.

What is there to do outdoors around Boise?

Plenty. The Boise River Greenbelt runs about 25 miles along the river, Bogus Basin ski area is roughly 20 miles from Boise, and the foothills are full of hiking and biking trails. Eagle Island State Park, Lake Lowell, Discovery Park, and Table Rock are local favorites too.
